Adelita grew up around agriculture on her family’s ranch in southern Alberta, Canada where they raised cattle and performance horses. From a young age, Adelita started competing in the sport of barrel racing which led her to a rodeo scholarship at Sam Houston State University and Tarleton State University where she competed at the collegiate rodeo level while studying Agricultural Business and Marketing. After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree, Adelita decided to continue her education at Tarleton with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, emphasizing in International Business. During this time Adelita also worked as a graduate assistant in the Agricultural and Consumer Sciences department.
Now working as senior account manager at McDonald Marketing Communications, Adelita utilizes her strong background in agriculture and her education in business and marketing to help her clients succeed. Adelita is a current member of the Agricultural Relations Council (ARC), the National Agricultural Marketing Association (NAMA), and the American Agricultural Editors Association (AAEA). In 2012, Adelita was selected to attend the invitational AgChat Foundation Conference in Kansas City and was able to represent MMC while in attendance. Adelita currently manages the Golden ARC Awards Contest for ARC.
